Easter eggs are special eggs that are often given to celebrate Easter or springtime.The egg is apagan symbol of the rebirth of the Earth in celebrations of spring and was adopted by early Christians as a symbol of the resurrection of Jesus.

初期教会用它来代替犹太教的逾越节。
开始一些教会在犹太教历的尼撒月14日举行纪念活动;325年尼西亚会议规定每年春分月圆后的第一个星期天为复活节。
1582年西欧改用格列历(即公历)。
东方一些教会仍沿用儒略历,因而其复活节通常比天主教和新教要晚一二个星期,甚至五星期。
节日期间人们互赠复活节彩蛋,象征生命和繁荣。
由于每年的春分日都不固定,所以每年复活节的具体日期也不确定。
但节期大致在3月22日至4月25日之间。
